I’m curious. So I took one out of the box.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Weight: about 4 ounces. It was ridiculously light. Mechless, so I guess it’s to be expected. Felt like a toy, not a car stereo, almost like a display shell with no innards.

Features: gps input? Sub out? Camera in? Obscured insert covered by the user manual listed compatible video formats. Takes aux line in, Bluetooth, USB, or SD card.

Quality: text on the buttons was blurry stickers, looked like it would rub off in a month, and not backlit. The user manual was a folded sheet of 8x11 printer paper. That’s all I’ve got, since one isn’t on display and there are no pics anywhere of one actually functioning.

Thoughts: it’s promo’d for $69, down $15 bucks this week. I think itll bolt it to the tundra to replace the horrid factory deck without looking gaudy. I’m considering rolling the dice on an unknown.

That actually looks kind okay for an aftermarket head unit, except for this:

Kinja'd!!!

Why could they not have just made all of that symmetrical and straight?!

So it looks like a fake?

Is there money in making fake steroe units? Never would have guessed.

Hmm, I’m stumped on this thing. I was guessing that it was a “dead head” until I saw the harness plug.

If BlankPunked has a 800 customer service number call that and see what they say about warranty and such. They may not know about it either.

if not fake, it’s probably something they got from some no-name manufacturer in Shenzhen and slapped their name on it.

The problem I am guessing is going to be mating it up to your factory wiring harness. I usually order my decks from Crutchfield because they always include a wiring harness adapter and detailed instructions for your car. You could buy a single DIN deck with a DIN blank tray that is USB/Bluetooth and CD player from Crutchfield for <$100.

I’m willing to be it is 100% upgrade over any stock car stereo that has a tape deck, and probably good chance its an upgrade over any stock stereo that didnt come with blutooth
